Wershow, owner, for an amendment to an existing ‘PD’ (Park Avenue Office Condominium Planned Development) district for a day spa in a Commercial and Low Density Residential (1 to 4 dwelling units/acre) land use designation on approximately .017 acres located at 912 NW 57th Street on Tax Parcel Number 06354-100-003. Recommendation Staff recommends that the Board hear the item and adopt Resolution Z-15-11 to allow spa services. Background The applicant is requesting an amendment to the PD to allow spa services as a permitted use. The Park Avenue PD is an existing development that allows those uses permitted in the 'AP' district in the non-residential portion of the development. Spa services are defined as 'personal services' in the Alachua County Code and these are not allowed in the AP zoning district. The applicant is therefore requesting to modify the PD to allow spa-type services on the parcel that is the subject of this request. Issues The proposed use will not cause any additional impacts to public services or public infrastructure.
