A request by Clay Sweger, agent, for Higginbotham Properties, owner, to amend an existing special exception to reduce building setbacks from 200 feet wide to 100 feet wide on approximately five acres in the ‘A’ (Agriculture) district located at 19422 East CR 1474 on Parcel # 18990-000-000.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that Board hear the item and adopt Resolution Z-11-10 approved the request with staff bases and amended conditions.

Executive Summary
The applicant is requesting an amendment to an existing special exception to reduce the required setbacks for an agricultural processing facility from 200 feet to 100 feet.
Background
The original special exception for this property was issued in 1997. The applicant has constructed a processing facility within the 200 foot wide setback prescribed in the conditions of the special exception. This request will reduce the setback and bring the special exception into conformance withthe Alachua County ULDC.
Issues
Staff recommends that the setback be set at 130 feet wide, thereby bringing the special exception into conformance with the Code. An associated ULDC amendment request has been submitted with this application and must be approved prior to ZOX-02-10 being heard.
